The AI Challenge

Are you ready for a challenge?

Join the AI challenge — a monthlong quest to use ChatGPT (or any AI chatbot) every single work day of the month.

You’ll learn via self-paced sessions, one practical project and a super supportive community.

Expect to come away with the confidence and skills to use AI at work every day, saving precious hours every week.

Why you need this push

You need to experiment and build the habit of using AI every day to see efficiency gains.

Experts say it takes 10 hours inside an AI chatbot to really get value out of it.

The challenge is for you if you

  • Aren’t sure what to use ChatGPT for at work

  • Tried it a few times and found it underwhelming

  • Love it but just keep forgetting it’s there

The only way to break through these roadblocks is to dive in head first.

Four weeks, limited availability, £159 (excl VAT) | $199

Challenge FAQ

  • The challenge is much lighter touch than the course, and is really designed for folks who aren’t ready for the full course transformation yet. It covers strictly AI chatbots (which is just two weeks of the Carve AI curriculum) and in much less depth. Unlike the full course, the challenge does not have live learning sessions — the bite-sized sessions you’ll get are pre-recorded and self-paced, and amount to ~60 mins of sessions in total (a tiny fraction of what the course includes).

  • No, you’ll still benefit from the AI Challenge unless you feel like you’ve already completely optimized your workflow with AI chatbots and have a daily habit of using them at work. You’ll be able to skip over more basic bite-sized sessions but there’s still lots to learn, like all the use cases for the assistant workflow and more advanced features like GPT-4o’s vision & voice and how to build custom GPTs. You’ll also benefit from building a network of like-minded assistants.

  • No, the challenge isn’t too advanced for total beginners. We have 4 x bite-sized sessions dedicated to the basics, and you’ll have plenty of support to get going in our community and with direct access to Fiona.

  • The AI Challenge will still be useful for you if you want the push to build a daily habit of using ChatGPT (or similar), and you want to discover even more use cases for it in your workflow. The bite-sized sessions will mostly be a reminder for you, but you’ll still benefit from a couple of the more advanced sessions (e.g. the one on GPT-4o’s vision & voice, since this is new since you took the course).

  • We cover the basics: what is gen AI, what are LLMs, how they work, key risks and safe use. Then we dive into how to use AI chatbots: all the use cases for the assistant workflow, and how to craft great prompts that get you high-quality outputs. Finally we cover some advanced functionality including GPT-4o’s voice & vision, how to build custom GPTs, prompt generators and megaprompting.

  • These are 45-minute sessions lightly facilitated by Fiona where you’ll have a chance to share wins and troubleshoot roadblocks with your peers. It’s a chance to get to know each other, build community, and get support. Very informal with no slides or other content, totally led by you and your peers and what you bring on the day. Note that we follow Chatham House Rules and we do not record these sessions to encourage candid sharing.

  • Tbc, likely August or September — make sure you’ve registered your interest using the link above to be the first to hear.

  • We’re all adults here. It’s up to you to complete the challenge the best you can — if that means you skip one day but dedicate more time to practice the next, then that’s fine. The important thing is to do your best and be as consistent as you can to build the daily habit.

  • Tricky one. Ideally you want to have access to an AI chatbot at work for this challenge. But we’re huge proponents of starting where you can, even if that means you can only use a tool like ChatGPT on your personal device for personal stuff — because you’ll still be able to learn the skills of prompting and be prepared to use AI at work when you do eventually get access (and you will!). Reach out to fiona@joincarve.com to chat through if you have more questions on this.

  • Yes, you do need WhatsApp for our community. If you have issues with this, please reach out to fiona@joincarve.com to share your feedback — we aren’t married to WhatsApp for future challenges and would appreciate your honest input.

  • Yes, we offer a 20% discount for 3+ joining from the same organization, or steeper discounts for large teams of 15+ (reach out to fiona@joincarve.com for a quote). We always encourage joining as a team — it helps create accountability and leads to greater impact (and as a side benefit will build teamship too).

  • No, you can use any AI chatbot, so long as you have your company’s blessing to use it. (We’ll also cover safe use in bite-sized sessions.) If you have the freedom to choose, we’d recommend ChatGPT or Claude. You don’t need the paid version unless you select the Advanced project, which requires a paid ChatGPT subscription.
