Week 7: Course reflections and how to become an AI change agent
Tuesday, June 10th at 9am PT | 12pm ET | 5pm UK
Overview
In this session, we used Miro (a digital whiteboard tool) for Carve AI course retro, reflection and discussion framed around FLAP — future direction, learnings, accomplishments and problems. We also discussed how to move forward from here, become an AI change agent and continue the learning and community we created in the Carve AI course.

⚠️ Important: please fill in the feedback survey ASAP. Thank you!

Here are your 5 steps to become an AI change agent:
Step 1: Reflect. Notice the shift: what can you do now that you couldn’t 7 weeks ago? Craft your impact story (including not just the what but crucially also the so what) and share this with your exec.
Step 2: Educate & Advocate. Host a mini learning session (see slides for mini sessions in our Further Resources page). Create a forum for AI knowledge-sharing in Slack or Teams (perhaps even a shared doc or drive for prompts and other key resources). Consider starting an AI steerco or sub-team within your team. Recruit allies — partner with your IT/infosec team to spead awareness and get access to the tools you need. Note that I also run tailored AI training sessions for teams — drop me a note if you'd like to explore.
Step 3: Experiment. Commit to AI playtime every week! Ideally 10-15 mins/week. Take it one step at a time: pick off a new tool, a new feature, a new workflow, a new technique and work through it methodically. You will transform the way you work if you’re consistent with this! Also consider running experiments with your exec: pick a pain point, solve it together using AI. And let the chatbots coach you 🤖
Step 4: Stay Connected via the larger AI for EAs community in Whatsapp, by making referrals to the program or sharing with your network, proudly posting your badge on LinkedIn, and keeping in touch! 💛 I have an open door policy, always!
Step 5: Keep Learning via newsletters, podcasts, and traditional media sources (Fiona’s top picks are in the Further Resources page). Lean into Carve for continued learning, too: the Carve AI for EAs community on Whatsapp, free Carve events, Carve AI Advanced coming soon 👀 Remember: “You’ve got to f*ck around to find out”
Above all, stay sharp, stay curious, stay ahead
